Dale,
That is certainly a strange critter. I would have said it was a mite....but it's too big. My next guess was a tick....but it doesn't have the right # of legs, and besides, the legs are disproportionately thick in comparison to the body. I'm going to guess a crab, but how it got stuck in the resin, I have not a clue.

found this stange inclusion in aust amber taken at 10x magnification, the length is 12mm and legs are around 5mm.
I can only count 4 legs! maybe some are missing .
Also the inclusion appears to be just a shell or maybe has a soft body!
any ideas ??
