There are 2 papers on the age of Dominican and Mexican amber - I will 
forward them, note the paper below by Dr. Penney regarding  the oldest 
described Lyssomanes and extends the known geological range of the genus 
by approximately 10 Ma from the previously oldest known specimens in 
Dominican Republic amber.

Kirk's hearsay information about Chiapas amber being triple the age I 
thought it to be is... well, hard to believe.
Geological and inclusions data that I know of, do not support such claim.
Is there scientific work out there, peer reviewed, that I do not know of?

Kirk, I would like to learn more about this, please share your info.
