Amber Listserv / This is right up there with "Odd"

Hi, I asked the EBay crab-in-amber person what made her think this was amber and if she tested it, here is her answer and another photo:
"No. I'm not sure what it is. My Dad was a commercial fisherman and found this on the beach about 20 years ago. All I know is that it is an albino blue crab. Not sure what the stuff is or how it got on there. It was like this when he found it. The stuff is hard but has cracked and broken off in places. I'll e-mail you a picture of the bottom of the crab and you can see it better."
