Amber Listserv / When I first saw this auction title I thought, HOLY COW!

Hi group,
My rule of thumb is 'if it's Chinese or Tibetan amber - don't bid' . However I have read in the amber literature that REAL amber is found in China, unfortunately I don't have a Chinese specimen in my collection, largely due to the fact of you just can't trust anything with a 'Chinese amber' label on it. The Chinese sellers of this plastic garbage are actually shooting themselves in the foot in the long run I feel.

Wow, and did you see the dragonfly???

Geez, but the fakers are getting better! These pieces look real, but they are doing a bang up job of concealing the insertions. Geez, I feel for the poor critters.
