I've noticed that a large number of my Baltic specimens are very thin and flat. Most of these beautiful pieces were purchased from our own Doug Lundberg (free plug for Doug). It almost appears that they are truly tiny windows on the past. Some of these pieces are only 2-3 mm thick. Is this a characteristic of  Baltic amber or just done at the whim of the artisan? In any event, it makes viewing the inclusion much easier.
