Hi guys,
Found these 2 bugs in a piece of Borneo cognac amber this morning. The
bottom bug is probably a balled-up spider...the top bug is about 6mm long
excluding antennae and the 2 pinkish crooked lines at the bottom right are
probably threads from my buffing pad. The top bug looks like a weevil of
some kind...can anyone make a positive identification? I couldn't get a shot
of its mouth-parts coz there's a (censored) crack blocking that portion.
Took more than 40 shots, and those buffing pad fibers HAD to spoil the best
photo...GAAAH! I'm off to polish something dark and very opaque!
Andy
