Amber Listserv / Amber List- inquiry on source in Illinois?

 Guys, I have had a letter from a man in southern Illinois who claims to have found amber there.  He sent me photos and is mailing samples to me for an eyeball check.  If I put these things under a scope and see anything promising, I'll want to turn it over to someone else for further testing.  John, since you are in Chicago, I'll probably turn him over to you if you don't mind.  In the meantime, is there any record of resins being found in Mesozoic strata in southern Illinois?
