Amber Listserv / Amber List- inquiry on source in Illinois?

Adam, I haven't asked him to reveal his site as yet, I want to see if this stuff is for real or plastic.  It looks too good, but still there is something strange about it in the photos.  Can't put my finger on it.  He lives about 300 miles south of Chicago, that's all I know for now.  I did ask him to share with me if he found it in soil or rock, was it embedded or loose and what kind of extraction method he used.  I'm awaiting his answer.  I'll share what I find with the group.  For some reason this seems fishy, but again it remains to be seen.  I'd like to think it's real anyway.

If you recall, a while back someone was selling what they called amber on eBay, supposedly from the area of former coal mines in Illinois, the Mazon Creek area.  I dont know if anything ever came from that, but the Mazon Creek biota has been extensively studied, and I dont think amber has ever been found there.  Those deposits are from the Carboniferous Period.
 
Anyway, where exactly in southern Illinois was this supposedly found?
