Amber Listserv / copal

copal was sold by the ton for a coating for the inside of tin cans before the galvanizing process was discovered or approved for food storage. what a prospect for someone to sell it by the gram as amber. wow you can make a bunch of money selling copal for amber. I think this is an old wound for this discussion group but is an ongoing debate. my stand is obvious, amber is different from copal. glen
