Hi all,
I would say that Dale is correct that those are eggs because of the
shape and number. Sometimes when an insect gets engulfed in resin, it has enough
time to release most of its eggs, usually more than one or two, and I would
say by the looks of the photograph that this fungus gnat had enough time to
release at least 10 eggs before dying...maybe more outside the photo
dimensions. NICE FIND...THATS A KEEPER!
Josh
