Amber Listserv / CDs to go with the amber book

Just a note on John's comment. I agree that an amber book with  valuable 
information is an asset regardless of the pictures, and I've already  bought it. 
The new edition is expanded and contains much that is important for  us amber 
folks. But it isn't a matter of the pictures not being "pretty" - the  pictures 
are just about useless. Amber's appeal is extremely visual and without  good 
visual representations, the text loses a large part of its impact. Having  
contacted Dr. Rice about it and learned of the CD, I have ordered it - as anyone  
on the list may do - as an addendum to the text. Not quite as convenient as  
having them there in the book, but still a reasonable solution given the  
prohibitive costs of color photos in a book.
