Hi, I recently made available to the major museums and other institutions around the world the finest 400 piece cretaceous amber specimens ever collected. I was asked by Jim Davis to offer it to the scientific community first . It consisted of a wide variety of insects, twenty plus very rare botanicals and also feathers and shells. It was brought to my attention that some of the institutions had been told not to bid as it would be bought cheap. I was never able to determine if this was true. However I was offered an amount equal to what I could sell this one specimen alone for. The collection will now be offered to the private collectors around the world but only as a complete 400 piece collection. Burmite amber is a nice hard cretaceous amber with excellent preservation. We have plenty of amber but are as usual having a hard time getting the amber processed into specimens. Someone from the states also tried to buy the rough amber form Burma which was to go to Jim Davis only, but it didnt work as the people in Burma kept thier promise to sell onlt to him. As you can see there has been a lot going on with Burmite . We also have about 15 papers in the process of being described. and have found 5 flowers and a complete reptile claw. Ron
