Amber Listserv / bubble

I have seen (and may still have some in one of the batches I have in
storage) pieces with similar bubbles. Some actually look like they
have folded where the stuff ran into a barrier and the outer end
curled back onto the main mass, surrounding an open area and sealing
in inside. One large piece actually looked like it had been caught
in a hand with the fingers cupped. There were obvious ridges and
some woody bits also trapped just under the surface. I washed this
chunk out of the matrix, thinking it was just a small piece, about
the diameter of my thumb, but as I got further into the surrounding
mass, it got larger and larger as if the resin had pooled at the
bottom of its run.
It was so unusual I kept it instead of using it for carving.
