Amber Listserv / Putting scraps to use

Hi guys,

I been practicing carving symmetrical shapes on scrap bits and pieces. My
skills (if you care to call it that) are far from complete...got no obi-wan
to teach me.

This particular practice piece which has some unwanted inclusions (plant
matter, I guess), illustrates the very thing which caused amber to captivate
me: the almost-poetic resin flows that can range from a sinuous wave to this
fiery maelstrom. It's not about finding insects (though that is a happy
occurence), it's not about the quantity or chunk size. It's the flows which
can hypnotize me for hours!

Am heading for the hills tomorrow to rummage around. See ya!

Andy
