They also try to sell colored glass as rubies in Bangkok, but you won't see
me slagging every jeweller in a country just because of a few bad apples.

Geeze Louise, what some people won't say to preserve the illusion of
exclusivity. It's one thing to share info on amber, and totally another to
make misleading sweeping statements.
