Ron,
You can report him to ebay if you feel it worth your time. Or perhaps someone else here could but it would carry more weight if you did it since he has copied your auction word for word. It is 50/50 if ebay does anything about it.
This really irritates me and most of you know that, for about a year now, I have fought against sellers in china selling fake amber. About the only way I can get ebay to remove auctions is if the sellers state in their auctions that the shipping price is high because their starting bid is low (fee avoidance).
On a final note, even if ebay does remove his auction, chances are he will eventually figure out why and reword his auctions to avoid ebay pulling them (which is what happened with the sellers mentioned above).
The saving grace here is that people buying Burmite are a little more knowledgeable concerning amber than others. I do not mean this as an insult to others. Ironically, collectors of Burmite will pay at least $29.99 for a 4mm by 5mm piece and pay $6 shipping. Yet, their are un-savvy, uneducated buyers who will pluck down $6.00 GBP for a fake from China and pay $56.00 GBP (!) for shipping!! SEE THIS AUCTION
Evidently this seller from China has done a little homework.
Just a side note here, the reason ebay has been flooded with fakes from China and other Asian countries (in just about every category on ebay!) is because ebay has stuck a deal with them. People from these countries can list on the US ebay for FREE and they can do so for the next three years. They list for free and they pay no FVF's.
Ebay has received enough complaints though, that soon (I do not know the exact date) sellers will no longer be able to hide behind private feedback. Think that will stop people from paying $56.00 GBP for shipping when buying junk? Nope, that takes plain common sense.
Peace and Caveat Emptor,
Joy

If you go to ebay and look up number 280042596755 you will find a fake piece of Burmite amber with a probable insect added being sold by grass019 from china. If you check his description with the one I use on ebay you will see - he really like mine and copied it word for word. How original. Ron
