How old is it? I was going on the Ross book, which lists the Kauri tree as the source of the resin, and calls it copal, not amber. But if its amber, fine with me.

Adam, Dale's discoveries have opened the door to many new possibilities. The
stuff he has been finding for years is amber and currently under study. It's
beautiful stuff, some similar to burmite, other pieces just haven't been
categorized yet. Keep watching for new developments!

Adam ,

Here's my .02 worth. They certainly look like an egg - within - an - egg or.....an embryo within an egg sac. There certainly appears to be something inside that has appendages.

Enhydros with debris? I don't think so. I've seen lots of enhydros and none contained any debris.

What you need is the opinion of an entomologist with expertise in eggs.

How about applying a little warmth and see what hatches ? ; )

Hi all,

Would welcome comment on this--looks like a string of enydros, but then it looks like there might be organisms inside the bubbles. Also, if you look closely, the bubbles seem to be connected by a thin filament between each of them. Weird.

Thanks.
