Dear Pierre,

SEM microscopy scans the surface. The electrons do not penetrate in the amber. The scanning that has been done on amber inclusions with SEM has been performed on opened inclusions, on the inside. The samples are partially destroyed this way, it is unfortunately not possible to perform SEM in a non-destructive way.
