Wow - those are some big pieces of creamy swirled amber! I'm gonna hazard a guess and say that the amber necklace was perhaps MADE in South Africa, but the amber did not originate from there. It looks to me like Baltic creamy amber. I myself haven't seen that creamy or swirly amber in any other origin. Guys, does creamy amber appear in Dominican or Chiapan? Educate me here.
It's an interesting piece, and if it's real amber then it's starting off at a steal. Of course, if it was made in a country where the artisans aren't paid much to begin with it might seem like a small fortune.
