Amber Listserv / what is this?

Hi Folks,
Could this be pressed amber? It has the swirls often seen in Baltic pressed amber. This could be a mixture of bony/butterscotch amber and honey/cognac coloured amber chips. Would pass all the normal tests. As a jewellery item probably just as valid as any other other made from treated amber, as is the case for most commercial amber jewellery.

      Would someone look at this link and tell me what they think has been done? I think  "African amber" is something like "Alaskan oranges" but I'm wondering if anyone knows the process that's been done here. Baltic that has been melted and molded into marbles, perhaps?  Best to all,  Maggie
