Amber Listserv / Amber list: Amber jewelry person needed

Hi Folks,

I have been asked to help someone authenticate some amber jewelry.? I know, I know, we have a lot of these requests, trust me I know.? But, every new person who asks is one more person we can educate.? I'm not asking for one of the experts to spend time, I've already seen digital images of the peices and frankly, they look like some pretty Baltic pieces, some of the cabs are heat treated to enhance the spangles and change the color.? Typical stuff you see in a specialty shop.? What I'd like is for someone to recommend anyone they might know who works in amber to make jewelry somewhere in the neighborhood of Albany, NY, Montreal, or Burlington, VT.? She lives somewhere in between and is willing to travel a little distance to talk with someone.? So, in the spirit of educating one more person on the finer points of investing hard earned cash in amber jewelry, or just to teach them how to ask the right questions and perhaps save a little money, if you have a person you know then please pass the name along to me.?
