I think there may have been a misunderstanding of my lighthearted last message on the list, and an idea that I may be doubting the pieces, so I'd just like to clarify my position.

I don't have to, but I feel I should.

Having been involved in examining the last 'lizard in Baltic amber' which (as I insisted at the time having seen it in the flesh and under the microscope so to speak) proved to be entirely genuine, I am aware what problems doubts over authenticity and provenance can cause and I wouldn't want to be seen as casting any doubts over these specimens or the reputation of the gentleman who is the seller.

I hope that clears up any possible misunderstandings.
