Hi The Edgars. Thanks but my fingers suffered no damage in the making of those beads. Gotta luv mechanization! If bulk buyers happen to be in the state of Penang, Malaysia I'll arrange with my cousin to give them a factory tour after the machinery's protected by a patent.
Yes Suz, drilling them is not easy. Aside from having to get a crisp and clean drillhole lip, a decision has to be made as to where to put make the hole...is the bead best shown with the hole parallel to the resin flow-lines or perpendicular to them or at a diagonal? This is a choice best left to the buyer and that's why most often the beads leave the factory undrilled. And no Suz, I don't work amber in my sleep...but I do dream of getting back in the jungles to scour for more. Being stuck in town with paperwork and handling orders is NOT my cup of tea.
