We had someone else in the group who made a beautiful amber prism a while back.? She even took a photo of its reflective capabilities.? I wouldn't mind having an amber prism myself.? And they can come in different styles.? I'll bet you could do something wonderful, W.

It sounds like a good idea! Well actually I have seen a rather perfect 'sphere' and an 'egg' out of madagascar copal, but completely transparant, with no inclusion in it at all.

I have some larger pieces with inclusions, but don't really know how to grind and polish them up to a more attractive geometrical shape.

have you ever considered making a prism or a sphere ?
that material would be well suited for such a project especially if a large insect could be orientated in the center
here is a example but I think that material would look much better given its clarity
