I know what your going thru this happens to me usually once or twice a month their story's are almost always that bad 
the chances are that she was fully aware that they were fake they all seem to know smugglers (of cores don't we all) and they are sure
its real that's why they get it tested its amazing  that their at the point of purchasing large amounts of amber but decide to buy site unseen from a dealer in
Mexico that describes himself as a receiver of illegal goods
the other one that's really popular is the so and so died and left me a antique necklace can you appraise it for me and possibly buy it
I have gotten one of those from the same email address 5 times this year each one describing a different necklace the last being a faceted red one
thankfully their IQ,s are low enough that they try for the people that are in the business and know better
