Doug, Tom,

Indeed! I described the technique on a Baltic amber pseudoscorpion already in 2006, in the same magazine: ZOOTAXA. David Penney used the same X-ray microscope in Gent, Belgium to do his recent research on a fossil spider.
Interested members can get a free PDF copy with me of the publication on simple request.

The title: "Description of a new fossil Pseudogarypus with the use of X-ray micro-ct to penetrate opaque amber." The publication contains colour plates and schematic drawings.

Regards,

Hans Henderickx

  Doug,

Wasn't this process described to us by a List-member a couple of years ago? He was from Belgium I believe....Hans Hendrick?
