Amber Listserv / What am I ?

Hi gang.

This little guy is in a piece of Baltic. I think he's an aphid or a scale insect. At first I thought he has a springtail because of the appendage. Subsequent polishing revealed the "appendage" to be a bit of plant matter with some fibers. I think?

I can take some additional shots his other side, if that will help in identification. Any opinions or comments, as always, are welcome.
