6 x 4 inches and ¾ pound – cannot be amber, too dense.

Dave, THAT is truly odd. I have a feeling what they have is a very large lump of resin from an existing tree. These folks are calling it amber because they don't know better, or because they are fools, or hope someone else out there is.
Of course if anyone out there knows of any amber deposits in Colorado that yield chunks the size of a chihuahua, please set me straight.

Dear Folks,
I don’t buy much on Ebay but I couldn’t resist this item due to the size, price and claimed location of origin. Auction# 140204178560. Anyone ever heard of anything like this before? All the best !!!!!!
David.
