Very cool Dave, lots of bug poop/pollen/leaf debris frass.  I always like to look at that stuff under a scope.  Beautiful piece!



As I said before, I'm withholding any excitement on the "found" amber room until some goober with a camera actually shoots a photo that we can see.  The scientist in me says I'll believe it when I can see it.  Keith, if you hear anything else, do keep us posted.

                           Sure hope those folks in Germany are right Keith but I can see why it seems they are jumping to conclusions. Perhaps they have other info they are not divulging, they seem very certain considering what they have revealed. Either way it should it should generate a lot more publicity for amber in the media, which is great. I am attaching pics of another very large burmite chunk (58 grams) from Ron’s collection, strange piece!!!!!! Very golden resin with a lot of very large frass, almost all the black material in the piece is frass. The flow direction can be easily seen. The piece also contains at least one beetle and a very fine larva. All the best !!!!!!
