Hey folks,

I have a really nice lady who lives in the UK (well sometimes, she's kind of a European gypsy) and she makes the most beautiful amber jewelry.? She is building a blog site and trying to put correct information about amber in the blogs, and she needs a good explanation of why green amber is green.? She will probably have other questions for you once she gets a whiff of what you folks are capable of.? Her name is Cathy D'Arcy and we have had some of the most wonderful email conversations.? Cathy, if you want to get on this list officially, you can go to www.ambericawest.com and sign on.? The web administrator is Doug Lundberg, if you have any questions or problems signing on just email him at lundberg at ambericawest.com.?

In the meantime, I am very interested in a good explanation of what makes the green in green amber.? I know we've probably covered this before, but my recollection is that it has something to do with the mineral contents of the soil and possibly of the tree resins.? Someone please correct me if I am off base.?

Cheers,

Tammi
