I wrote in to the Henry Moore foundation seeking permission to reproduce in
amber one of his reclining figures that had been stolen in 2005. The
assistant curator replied that Moore's will stated he did not want any
copies made. Looks like I'll have to come up with a Moore-esque design by
myself, Tammi.
John's idea of using styrofoam to make molds and then layering amber slices
over is good, but I'd rather use one solid chunk of resinite.
And Sanford, thanks for the weblink. You do have some very nice Chiapas
works. Your work is as lovely as that of The Edgars.
