Amber Listserv / green/ red

Hi folks,

I just cut a slice of amber that I've had for quite a few years. I bought it in two chunks as rough at a gem show.

My questions are these. I never knew where it came from because the person I bought it from didn't, but this is definately a very clear red amber with extremely strong green tint. In fact the green is quite strong in weak light as well.

Because of the green tint, I'm expecting this is Dominican but I suppose it's possible that it could also be Chiapan. Would anyone be able to tell and would anyone have an idea of a per gram price for jewely cuts or for larger pieces of rough?
