Is it a characteristic of natural amber to turn silver black?

I really have not seen this happening. When it turns black it is not the amber as far as I know. Do you have any experience with this?

  Yeah, I think I can afford them, but I don't really want some dyed substance from Hong Kong they are passing off as blue amber.  They are not even pretty.  Ugh!!!

    In Mexco and in China, they also make all kinds of fake inclusions. Here are some pictures of what they sell in China as "amber". ( Yiwu Kaixiang Industrial and Trade Co., Ltd.) A far cry....

    By the way, John, do you know how much they were charging for the "blue amber eggs" at the Amberif, considering that Tammy thinks she has to win in the lottery ?
